What Is High-Pressure Pipe Welding?

High-pressure pipe welding involves joining steel pipes that carry fluids or gases under pressure, water, steam, compressed air, fuels, and more. Joints must meet strict requirements for strength, leak-tightness, and quality control.

This specialisation is required in industrial projects, power plants, industrial HVAC systems, infrastructure, and more.

Who is this course for?

No prior experience is required. We teach from basic structural electrode welding (plates) through to pipe welding.

Suitable for beginners and for welders in plants who need pipe certification for advancement or employer requirements.

Why Train With Us?

Full practical training, certification exam preparation, and guidance from certified welding inspectors.

Decades of experience training pipe welders for the Israeli industrial sector.

Employment Opportunities

Pipe welders are employed in heavy industry, factories, energy, industrial HVAC, large renovation projects, and maintenance.

High-pressure pipe certification significantly increases a welder's earning potential and market standing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is electrode experience required?

No. Prior experience is not required. We teach from basic structural electrode welding (plates) through to pipe welding.

What is 6G welding, and what are the other positions?

Welding positions are usually marked with a G (Groove). On plates: 1G (flat), 2G (horizontal), 3G (vertical) and 4G (overhead). On pipe: 1G (rotated pipe), 2G (fixed horizontal), 5G (fixed horizontal with welding around) and 6G (pipe at about 45°, the most demanding). In this course we teach plate and pipe welding up to G5; depending on the student’s progress and ability, G6 may also be reached.

Is there demand for pipe welders?

Yes. Pipe welding is among the most sought-after and well-paid areas in industrial welding.

What certificate do graduates receive?

International welder certification in pressure pipe welding, to ASME IX.

Is there a subsidy for the course?

Course subsidies depend on meeting eligibility criteria. It is worth checking with our course coordinator, who will be glad to guide you through the process.
