What Is Torch Brazing?

Brazing joins metals using a filler material that melts at a temperature below the base metal's melting point, with a gas flame. It is a common method for joining copper, steel, brass, and thin components.

Gas flame welding is also used for cutting, bending, and heating, fundamental skills in fabrication, HVAC, and maintenance.

Who Is This Course For?

Suitable for fabricators, HVAC technicians, maintenance workers, welders, and anyone looking to expand their skills.

Also works as a complementary course for welders who want to work with copper and HVAC piping.

Why Learn With Us?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between brazing and welding?

In brazing the base metal does not melt; filler material joins the parts. In welding the base metal melts.

Do I need prior experience?

Not necessarily. The course is also suitable for beginners with a technical background.

Which materials are covered?

Copper, brass, steel, and common combinations used in HVAC and fabrication.

Is there a subsidy for the course?

Course subsidies depend on meeting eligibility criteria. It is worth checking with our course coordinator, who will be glad to guide you through the process.
